Parents and guardians, please remember to log into PowerSchool and complete the Student Verification Form to update and confirm your student’s information. The link to complete this form was sent through ParentSquare on August 27, 2026.
This is an important step because the completed verification form includes permissions that are needed for your student to participate in and receive certain services at school. Without the required permissions, staff may be unable to provide or treat your student for certain services.
Please take a moment to log into PowerSchool and complete the Student Verification Form if you have not already done so.
Please note: This is a required annual process and must be completed each school year.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this important step and help us ensure we have the most current information and permissions for your student.

On Friday, September 25, our students had the chance to share their summer reading choices with their advisories!
Students talked about their favorite books, genres, authors, memorable moments, exciting stories, and books they would recommend to their classmates. There were plenty of great conversations, new discoveries, and maybe even a few books added to students’ “must-read” lists! 📚👀
Reading is even better when you can share a great story with others! 💚🐬

We are off to a great start in 7th grade science! Students are beginning the year by learning important lab safety procedures, identifying and using lab tools, and practicing proper scientific measurement. These foundational skills will help students become confident and responsible scientists throughout the year.

On Thursday, the DYMS Robotics Club visited the high school to meet with the Dolphins Robotics Team. Students received a warm welcome from Mr. Kristofer Hansen and several members of the high school robotics team.
During their visit, our middle school students toured the robotics space and learned more about the equipment, materials, and work that goes into designing and building robots. Students were excited to see the space and learn from the high school team.
The DYMS Robotics Club is looking forward to its next meeting, when students will begin collaborating, designing, and engineering robots alongside the high school Dolphins Robotics Team. We are excited to see where this partnership takes our young engineers!

This week, students will explore the meaning of belonging and how our connections with others help create a positive, supportive school community. Students will consider what it means to feel accepted, included, and valued for who they are, while identifying the people, experiences, and relationships that help them feel connected. Through collaborative discussion and reflection, students will build an understanding of how strong connections foster trust, confidence, participation, and a greater sense of belonging for everyone.
