DYIMS Scholastic Book Fair Is Here May 18–22

We’re excited to welcome the Scholastic Book Fair to DYIMS from May 18 through May 22! Students will have the opportunity to explore new books, build excitement around reading, and support our school library and literacy programs.

Families can prepare by setting up a Scholastic eWallet, a safe and convenient digital payment option for students to use during the fair. You can also preview the book selection and learn more on the Scholastic homepage here: DYIMS Scholastic Homepage

We are also looking for volunteers to help make this event a success. If you are interested in supporting the fair, please sign up here: Volunteer Sign-Up

Thank you for supporting our students and helping make this a fun and engaging reading experience. We look forward to a great Book Fair week! 📚

MCAS Prep Through Peer Coaching

Students in Mrs. Nawoichik’s math class teamed up for peer coaching as they prepared for last week's MCAS testing. By working together, explaining strategies, and supporting one another, students strengthened both their math skills and confidence heading into testing week! 📚➕✨

Supporting Student Well-Being at DY Middle School

DYM is working to bring a school-based counseling program to our school in partnership with Child & Family Services (CFS). Once we have enough interested students and required paperwork is completed, we will be able to offer this support during the school day. CFS provides counseling services for students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns. Services are delivered by licensed therapists, billed through medical insurance, and include collaboration with school staff. If you are interested in this opportunity for your child, please review the information attached about the CFS Outreach Counseling Program and complete the steps for your child to be involved.
