Sixth grade health students recently explored the risks and pressures that can come with social media, along with ways to speak up and support their peers. They are now designing bold, informative posters to help educate others and encourage positive online behavior throughout our school community. |
In Ms. Shaw’s WINN block, students created “Goal Roads” to think intentionally about their futures. They identified personal, academic, and career goals, outlined the steps needed to reach them, and considered challenges they may face along the way. As a group, they discussed practical strategies for handling obstacles and building resilience. The activity gave students time to reflect, plan ahead, and take ownership of their journey forward. |
Our 6th & 7th grade students are exploring the world of coding in Digital Literacy and Computer Science using micro:bits. Through block-based programming, students are creating flashing messages, animations, and simple games on the micro:bit’s LED display. As they test and debug their programs, they build problem-solving skills, persistence, and collaboration with their classmates. These hands-on projects help students see how coding connects to the real world while sparking curiosity and confidence in technology. 💻✨ |
