WELCOME TO THE DENNIS YARMOUTH MIDDLE SCHOOL DIGEST

Each week, we’ll bring you a snapshot of the exciting events, important updates, and celebrations happening throughout our DYMS community. Teen Truth Assembly – April 15th


On April 15th from 1:00–2:00PM, our entire school will gather in the auditorium for a youth empowerment assembly presented by TEEN TRUTH.

This 60-minute program is designed to inspire connection, resilience, and positive decision-making through engaging storytelling and interactive elements. We look forward to bringing our school community together for what promises to be a meaningful and impactful experience for all students.

Dennis Yarmouth Middle School Career Day

Dennis Yarmouth Middle School will host Career Day on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 8:30–11:15 AM. We are inviting community members to share their career paths and experiences to help motivate and inspire our students. This is a great opportunity to connect classroom learning to real-world careers and expose students to a wide range of possibilities. Interested participants can sign up using the QR code or link provided.

DYRSD Scholarship Calendar Raffle Is Here 🎉

The DYRSD Scholarship Calendar Raffle is finally here. Each entry stays in for every drawing throughout the entire month of March, with one winner selected each day. Tickets are $10, 2 for $20 and 3 for $25.

To participate, send the form and/or payment to Regina Wood at Dennis‑Yarmouth Middle School, or Venmo Regina Wood by scanning the QR code. Please include your name, number of tickets purchased, school name and your email so Ms. Wood can get in contact with you.

Winter Edition of Language Matters: Spotlight on Access & Equity

Dear DY‑RSD Community,

Welcome to the Winter edition of Language Matters: The MLE Newsletter! In this issue, we focus on Access and Equityfor multilingual learners and share practical strategies to support them while celebrating the rich language and cultural diversity in our district.

Affordable Homeownership Applications Now Open on Cape Cod

Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is now accepting applications for affordable homes in Brewster, Falmouth, and Pocasset. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Available homes include one three-bedroom home in Pocasset, two homes in Brewster (one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom), and four three-bedroom homes in Falmouth. Homes are a mix of ranch and Cape styles.

Income eligibility is based on area median income, with limits up to 60% or 80% AMI, depending on the home. Applicants must demonstrate a housing need and commit 250–500 hours of sweat equity. Estimated monthly housing costs range from $1,562–$2,071.

Applications are available at habitatcapecod.org, the Habitat Cape Cod office, and local libraries. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend an in-person or virtual information workshop. Full details and workshop dates are available on the Habitat Cape Cod website.
