Thank you again for the incredible support with this year’s food drive. Even without a final count, we know students brought in at least 800 items — the office was packed with donations! The food pantry was thrilled and grateful. ❤️
Congratulations to our top homerooms:
3rd place: Ms. Wood 🥉
2nd place: Ms. Fears 🥈
1st place: Mrs. Bryant 🥇
A special thank-you to our photographer, Joyce Durfee 📸, along with Luisa Carniero, Teagan Sherman, Fiona Shaffer, Isiah Celin, and Jaxson Thomas for all their help. 🙌

Our French students had a great time playing a game called Six! 🎉 Students took turns rolling the die, and whoever rolled a six got to start copying the matching French sentence under the picture. Once someone else rolled a six, they grabbed the pencil and jumped in. The goal was to copy every sentence correctly in French while keeping the game light and fun. ✏️😊

As we enter flu and cold season, it’s especially important to monitor your child’s health before sending them to school. Regular attendance matters, but students who are sick need time to rest and recover—and to prevent spreading illness to others.
Please keep your child home if they have:
-
Fever of 100.4°F or higher (return after 24 hours fever-free without medication)
-
Vomiting or diarrhea (return after 24 hours symptom-free)
-
Strep throat (return 24 hours after starting antibiotics and once fever-free)
-
Pertussis (return after 5 days of antibiotics)
-
Unexplained or contagious rash (return with clearance from a healthcare provider)
Your child may attend school if they have:
- Mild symptoms, such as a runny nose, minor cough, or mild stomach ache
- No fever overnight and are well enough to participate in school activities
Seek medical attention if your child has:
- Fever with ear pain, sore throat, rash, or persistent cough
- Signs of dehydration, severe pain, trouble breathing, or concerning rash/eye symptoms
Even missing a few days each month can affect learning. If you haven’t already submitted permission for your child to receive Tylenol or Ibuprofen, please do so. Without this permission, we are unable to provide these medications to help your child feel better and make it through the school day.
For questions about symptoms or medication forms, contact Nurse Williams at williams@dy-regional.k12.ma.us
Thank you for helping keep our school community healthy!
