Each week, we’ll bring you a snapshot of the exciting events, important updates, and celebrations happening throughout our DYMS community. 7th Grade Energy Fair ⚡

Our 7th grade explored energy at the Energy Fair! Students learned about electricity, forms of energy, and renewable resources 🌞 through hands-on activities and by teaching each other.

French Charades Fun

Students practiced “il voit / elle voit” (“he sees / she sees”) through a lively game of charades — combining movement, laughter, and language learning. 🎭

Building Cells and Making Connections

In Mrs. Ivkovic’s science class, students created animal cell models using a variety of materials, identified organelles, and matched their functions. They wrapped up the lesson with a fun memory-style game to reinforce how each organelle works. 🧫🧠

Egg Drop Challenge: A Cracking Success! 🥚💥

On November 6, our young scientists took on the DYM Egg Drop Challenge! They tested their designs and showed off their creativity—some eggs survived the fall, and some didn’t, but all had a blast. 🚀👏

🥫 The Joy Project After School Club Can Drive

The Joy Project after school club will be hosting a can drive for the Yarmouth Food Pantry from November 3rd to November 25th. 🗓️

Canned goods and boxed dry items can be brought to advisories and will be delivered to the food pantry on November 25th. 💛

Get ready to shine on stage! Join our afterschool workshops (until 5:00 PM) to practice lines, songs, and dance, and learn audition tips. Workshops are happening on November 24, 25, and December 2 & 4—don’t miss your chance to make a splash!

DYHS Athletic Announcement

Below are reminders and updates for the "HOME" Football Games at DYRHS.

~ Gates open 45 minutes before Kick-off. Kick off is at 6:00pm

~ Any child not enrolled at Dennis-Yarmouth High School will need to be accompanied by an adult and supervised for the duration of the game.

~ Electronic tickets are available using Go Fan. Ticket pricing is $6 for adults and $5 for students and Senior Citizens.

~ The D-Y Police Services Unit and Yarmouth Police will be on hand to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.

~ Games typically end about 7:30 p.m. The D-Y facility will close 30 minutes after the game ends, and all spectators must leave the property. Please make pick-up arrangements accordingly. Waiting on the property after closing is not permitted.
