💻 Cyber Safety and Awareness Presentation – October 8 🔒

On October 8, all students participated in a presentation from the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office on Cyber Safety and Awareness. 🌐 The program, which has reached thousands of students across the region since 2011, shared important information about online safety, cyberbullying, privacy, and responsible digital behavior. 💬📱

Support Positive Behavior at DY Middle School!

Dennis-Yarmouth Middle School is committed to fostering a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all students. As part of this effort, we implement PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports), a research-based framework that teaches and reinforces positive behavior.

Students are recognized and rewarded for making good choices, showing kindness, responsibility, and respect through incentives like small prizes, school store items, raffle entries, and special rewards.

We welcome support from local businesses and community members in the form of donations—monetary, gift cards, coupons, merchandise, or services—that can be used as student and staff rewards. Contributions are tax deductible and help strengthen the connection between the school and the community.

Hello Families,

I’m asking all families to please complete the Student Health Authorization Form. This form allows me to provide care for your child during the school day — such as giving an ice pack or offering Tylenol/Advil when needed.

To complete the form:
  1. Log in to your child’s PowerSchool account.
  2. In the PowerSchool App, go to More → Forms.
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and select “Student Information Verification Form – Current Student.”

Thank you for taking a moment to complete this form — it helps me care for your children safely and efficiently each day.

Have a great day,
Nurse Williams
