Upon entering their advisory, students will turn off their cell phones and turn into their advisor. Cell phones will be kept secure in the advisory classroom until dismissal. Headphones and earbuds should only be used within the classroom upon the teacher's instruction. Students found to have a cell phone/earbuds during the school day will have their devices confiscated and turned into administration, with the following progressive discipline:
First offense: Lunch Detention. Students may collect their device from the main office at the end of the day (2:40).
Second offense: After school detention. Caretaker will be required to pick the device up.
Third offense: Meeting between student, administration, and parent.
Exemptions will be made for students requiring their cell phones for medical purposes, per 504.
